To symbolise Exmoor, shows Dunkery and heather, shows view to sea, very important as Dartmoor does not extend to the sea.
Judges’ comments:
The judges chose your flag as a finalist as it clearly and simply visualised Exmoor’s highest point, Dunkery Beacon – the ‘purple headed mountain’ in the much loved hymn ‘All things bright and beautiful’.
